Healthy Thermomix Meal Prep Recipes to Freeze

You may have seen a healthy Thermomix Meal Prep post from one of our amazing admins Brooke Williams from Whole Home in Skinnymixers recently. Not only is this meal prep cook up extremely budget friendly, but has plenty of vegetables included.

“The 80yo grandparents have recently moved into a new home so I said keep your freezer free and I’ll come stock it in the school hols. Sent them a list of meals to choose from.
75 portions of food later ready for freezer stash. The grandparents will be set for the month or so.
$210 spent (inc containers) so $2.80 per portion.
#7meals #4sides #5hours #bulkprep

Absolutely incredible, right?

Well Brooke has gone above and beyond, by providing the Skinnymixers Community with a step-by-step how to meal prep guide of what she did and a printable shopping list spreadsheet.

Thank you Brooke! (please make sure you show your appreciation by sharing it with everyone that you think would benefit)

Love Nik xx

P.S. If you need a Thermomix Travel Bag – I highly recommend checking out Brooke’s website Whole Home & her fantastic Travel bags for TM31 & TM5 that she designed.

Now over to Brooke…

The Bulk Cook Up Day

Whole Home Thermomix Travel Bag for TM5 TM31

The Whole Home Thermomix Travel Bags are great to take to someone’s house to do a joint meal prep day

I recently had a bulk cook up day for my 80 year old grandparents to help make mealtimes easier for them. After 5 hrs, 75 portions of food later ready for the freezer stash, they will be set for the month or so for healthy, nutritious meals.

We spent $210 spent on shopping from the butchers and Woolies (inc containers) for all ingredients except for some Skinnymixers Chicken Stock Concentrate (THM1) and Italian Spice Mix (THM1) as they had just moved into their new house. This worked out to a mere $2.80 per portion.

My 9yo kitchen sidekick and I had combed through Skinnymixers and Thermobextas books and websites to come up with a list of freezer and palate friendly (chilli on the down low) meals for the grandparents to choose from.

*** I’ve included this list at the end of the article for you.***

They chose the following meals and we added some sides as Nan wanted some individual serves ready to go.

Meal Planning

Main Meal Thermomix Recipes

Chicken Stroganoff

I like to make Chicken Stroganoff using the Beef Stroganoff recipe from The Healthy Mix II.
I did a single batch but it is a very saucy meal which you can easily pan fry the chicken then combine with the sauce to bulk it out. Served up with cauli mash & veg.

Butter Chicken

Butter Chicken Meal Prep

I like to double batch the Butter Chicken Sauce, split into 4 portions & freeze. Cook each jar with 1kg chicken on the stovetop.

Using the Skinnymixer’s Butter Chicken recipe, I doubled the marinade and chicken and pan fried this. We omitted the nuts and used coconut cream. Made the sauce and poured this into the pan for the bulked up meat. You can also safely double the sauce for 4 times meat and marinate if you really want to bulk it. We served the butter chicken up with rice and steamed vegetables.

Savoury Mince

The savoury mince recipe from The Healthy Mix III is a great recipe for meal prepping, as it makes a large amount of food and incorporates meat and vegetables.

Italian Meatballs

To free up the thermomix we rolled the Italian Meatballs from The Healthy Mix and put into an oven dish, then poured over the sauce and topped with cheese. Served with some penne.

Rustic Shepherd’s Pie with Silky Sweet Potato Mash

Shepherds Pie Thermomix Recipe

skinnymixer’s Rustic Shepherds Pie

We split this meal into 3 foil containers (double serves). We didn’t bake them, as they will be placed in the oven to reheat. Serve with a fresh salad or vegetables.

Zucchini Slice

We chose the meaty option (added bacon) to this recipe. We portioned it up in double serves and will make a quick light meal with a side salad.

Vegetable lasagne with added roasted pumpkin layer

First we roasted up a butternut pumpkin to further bulk up the recipe. Using fresh lasagne sheets (versus dry) it is much easier to work with. We made 3 foil container (double serves) unbaked ready to be popped into the oven to finish off and a larger cooked lasagne which will just need to be reheated. For a meaty lasagne you can use the Family Chunky Bolognese with hidden vegetables.

Sides

Skinnymixers Healthy Mix Collection

You can purchase this cookbook collection in the Skinnymixers Shop & receive eBooks to start cooking immediately

  • Rice – cooked on the stovetop
  • Penne – cooked on the stovetop
  • Cauliflower & leek mash
  • Steamed veg – cooked in the varoma on top of the cauli mash

What you will need

Planning

I like to involve the kids in meal planning & love my Daily Orders Board!

  1. Brainstorm / look through cookbooks or the list of meal prep recipes provided below.
  2. Narrowed down to 6 (but then I overbought mince so added the Shepherd’s Pie to the list)
  3. Prepared a shopping list you can download mine here.
  4. Reviewed fridge, pantry and freezer contents.
  5. Ordered online shopping with Woolworths being delivered the day before and picked up the meat from the local butcher.
  6. Planned the order of what to cook in what thermomix/appliance to best utilise the time
  7. Also don’t forget to check the freezer space needed to store the meals.

Some questions from the Skinnymixers Community

Q: May I ask how long it took you ‘in total’ to prepare and cook all of these meals?
  • All up this took just under 5 hours including a quick lunch, serving up and clean up.
Q: Cooling?
  • I allowed the food to stop steaming before dishing up
Q: Container storage?
  • In my own home I’d use glass containers in larger amounts (4 serves) for my family. If I was to cook again or regularly I’d use some better quality plastic containers instead.
Q: Did you use pumpkin instead of lasagne sheets or you used both?
  • I used both to pad it out but if you need to be grain free I’d use some grilled zucchini and/or eggplant layers.
Q: Do you have more than 1 thermomix?
  • Yes, I used 2 Thermomixes with 2 jugs each. You could empty a jug into a container and continue on, 2 jugs each wasn’t a must but a luxury.
Q: Can I be your grandparent/can you adopt me?
  • Sure if you are in Melbourne lol.
Q: Wow must have a huge freezer?
  • No, they stacked really well and only took 3 drawers of space in a side by side french fridge/freezer.

Top 8 Healthy Slow Cooker Thermomix Recipes

Beef Bourguignon served with rustic mash

The results are in! Skinnymixers have voted these 8 meals as their favourite Healthy Slow Cooker Thermomix recipes.

There is something for everyone that is sure to be a hit in your family including pulled pork, butter chicken, beef goulash & slow cooked Greek lamb.

Although the Thermomix TM5 & TM31 aren’t really designed to slow cook in, they are a match made in heaven with a slow cooker to create healthy slow cooker Thermomix recipes. The new TM6 Thermomix from Vorwerk does however have a new slow cook function & is due for release in Australia June 2019. You don’t need the new TM6 to enjoy these family favourite slow cooking recipes.

Why use the Thermomix & Slow Cooker

The benefit of using the Thermomix to prepare the recipe means that you can cook from scratch and easily adjust the recipe to cater for any food allergies or dietary needs ie. to cater for coeliac disease, keto, dairy free etc.

Typically after preparing the recipe, you then transfer it into your slow cooker or even a low temperature oven to cook it low and slow. You can then go about your day and have a tender, delicious and nutritious dinner ready for you in the slow cooker.

As there are so many recipes that you can slow cook with the Thermomix, we recently ran a poll in the Skinnymixers Facebook Group to find out ‘Top 8 Skinnymixers Slow Cooker Recipes’.

Poll of the top 8 Skinnymixers recipes to slow cook

So as chosen by the Skinnymixers Facebook Group… here are the Top 8 Healthy Slow Cooker Thermomix Recipes.

Slow Cooked Greek Lamb

Slow Cooker Greek Lamb Recipe

Slow Cooked Greek Lamb, prepped in the Thermomix and finished in the Slow Cooker.

This slow cooked lamb Thermomix recipe utilises a deboned leg of lamb, but honestly you can use a shoulder of lamb or even lamb shanks. Make sure you follow the tips on how to make the most amazing gravy with it.

Access the free recipe here.

Mexican Slow Cooked Pulled Pork

Mexican Pulled Pork Skinnymixers Thermomix Recipe

Mexican Slow Cooked Pulled Pork cooked for 1hr in the pressure cooker, served with chipotle mayo.

This is a popular slow cooked pulled pork Thermomix recipe and has been around a few years now. Many Skinnymixers keep going back to this recipe for the simplicity and bold flavours.

Access the free recipe here.

Hungarian Goulash

Hungarian Goulash Thermomix Recipe

The Hungarian Goulash is the new kid on the block, but with winter right around the corner this is one recipe everyone will be cooking!

Although the Hungarian Goulash recipe is cooked in the Thermomix, there are Slow Cooker & Pressure Cooker instructions on the recipe (thank me later!). Some people like to completely remove the water from this recipe when cooking in the slow cooker.

Alternatively, for more sauce you can reduce the liquid to 200 g. In the slow cooker or pressure cooker you can increase the meat, double the recipe or even use other cuts of meat like lamb shanks.

Butter Chicken in the Slow Cooker

Skinnymixers Butter Chicken Thermomix Recipe

For those Butter Chicken obsessed Skinnies, the slow cooker means you can double the chicken…

We all know the Butter Chicken makes a lot of sauce, so when you make it in the slow cooker you can double the chicken (up to 2.5kg) with double the marinade and make only one portion of sauce.

Marinate the chicken first (you can actually do this the night before), make the sauce in the Thermomix & add that to the slow cooker. Cook thighs on low for 6-8 hours and chicken breast on low for 3-4 hours. Add the nuts, and cream into the slow cooker with 30 minutes remaining.

Access the free recipe & FAQs here.

Beef Bourguignon

Beef Bourguignon served with rustic mash

Beef Bourguignon cooked in the slow cooker served with rustic mash

The best way to convert the Thermomix cooked recipes to be slow cooked is to reduce the liquid in the sauce.

When you make the Beef Bourguignon in the slow cooker, sauté the garlic, onions and speck in the Thermomix and measure the sauce ingredients into the mixer bowl before tipping it into the slow cooker. We recommend not adding the water & only using the wine with the stock paste concentrate as your liquid component.

Access the free recipe here.

Tre Carne Ragù

Tre Carne Ragu Italian recipe

This Italian three meat sauce from A Little Taste of Italy, is sensational cooked in the slow cooker.

If you love coming home to a house filled with the aroma of an authentic Italian Ragù, then this is your recipe. This Thermomix recipe is exclusive to the cookbook A Little Taste of Italy and has instructions for cooking in the slow cooker. Perfect for double batching for healthy meal prep or making the most amazing lasagna.

For more information on the recipe & full nutritional information – click here.

Beef Stroganoff

Thermomix Beef stroganoff Recipe

If you love Beef Stroganoff, you must try it in the slow cooker.

Cooking the Beef Stroganoff from The Healthy Mix II in the slow cooker, means you can use gravy beef or chuck beef to cook it low and slow. Make the sauce in the Thermomix and don’t add any water.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours and stir through the sour cream & parsley at the end.

This healthy slow cooker Thermomix recipe is exclusive to The Healthy Mix II cookbook – available in the Skinnymixers Shop.

Chilli Con Carne

Thermomix Chilli Con Carne

Chilli Con Carne found in the Skinnymixers cookbook ‘A Little Taste of Mexico’

Like the other slow cooker converted Thermomix recipes, it is important to leave the water out to avoid a watery consistency.

To slow cook the Chilli Con Carne from A Little Taste of Mexico, simply make the sauce in the Thermomix without the water and transfer to the slow cooker with the meat. Cook on low for 6-8 hours and stir through the kidney beans at the end.

For other Slow Cooker tips from the Skinnymixers Community you can check out the Slow Cooker Meals & Tips page. You will find that utilising the slow cooker with the Thermomix is the perfect combination when cooking for large families.

How to Organise Spice Storage

Mobin Spice Storage
One of the most frequently asked questions in Skinnymixers is ‘How can I organise my Spice Storage?’ and ‘Show me your Spice Racks’.

As a Skinnymixer you may find that your collection of spices have grown, as you have given up the packet mixes and started to cook healthy Thermomix recipes from scratch.

We’ve compiled some of our favourite and most creative kitchen Spice Rack inspiration as recommended by our Facebook Community

Mobin Spice Racks

The Mobin Combwise Spice Racks are by far the most popular spice racks in Skinnymixers.

The Mobin craze actually started in Skinnymixers when a smart Skinnymixer found some Mobin nuts and bolts storage in Bunnings & decided to re-purpose it. Shortly after posting it in the Skinnymixers Facebook Group, shops all around Australia were sold out of these handy spice organisation systems.

As someone who cooks with spices on a regular basis, the Mobin Spice Storage System from Everten is a lifesaver.

Everten offer FREE SHIPPING within Australia for orders over $99 & currently have the Mobin Series Wall Mounted Organiser Row of 6 on sale for 25% off!

Mobin Spice Storage

Previously my spices would fall out of the kitchen cupboard and now I have over 60 spices organised and mounted in a Mobin Spice rack inside my pantry door.

There are 2 different types of Mobins available from Everten. The standard size and the larger size. All the Mobins are:

  • Standard size 125ml Capacity – it will easily fit the supermarket spice jars, Large size has 250ml capacity
  • FDA Food Grade
  • BPA Free
  • Phthalate Free
  • Easy installation – you choose how many rows you need and connect/screw each row.

If you are renting and can’t screw the Mobins into the cabinet or in a cupboard, some Skinnymixers have attached them to a board. They can also be mounted with double-sided tape.

Each row needs 43cm of space across and you can keep connecting each row as high as you like.

Spice Storage in the kitchen

The large set of Mobins have 4 containers across instead of 6 and are fantastic for salt, pepper, Babas Malaysian Meat Curry powder, Bay Leaves or cinnamon sticks.

Mobin Spice Storage Drawer Hack

If you don’t have any cupboards or spaces suitable for your Mobin Spice Rack, they can just as easily be setup in a Spice Drawer.

Mobin Spice Organisation Drawer

The perfect Mobin solution for people who are renting & can’t attach to the wall.

Budget Pantry Spice Rack Ideas

If Mobins are all but a dream, there are still some budget pantry spice organisation hacks that might be suitable.

First you have the Wire Rack to store spice jars from the supermarket.

Another budget and environmentally friendly option is to use recycled jars on shelves. You may like to use some timber at the back of the shelf as a step to create a tiered spice storage system.

Consistency with jar size will help make this Spice Shelf look more organised.

Spice Storage for Drawers

Do you have a dedicated Spice Storage drawer that needs some organisation?

If you have a Spice Pack from Grandma’s Pantry you are going to need somewhere to store all those amazing spices. Don’t forget all the Skinnymixers get 10% off with the discount code SKMIX.

You can buy spice containers from Kmart or Tupperware and turn them upside down to see the spices.

These jars are glass with plastic lids and are really affordable from Kmart or IKEA.

Spice Shelf or Tiered Spice Rack

Spice Storage Solutions IKEA

These are the IKEA Spice racks, being used in a way different to what they were intended with clip lock containers.

Ikea Spice Storage

How the IKEA Spice racks look full with clip lock containers

Or maybe you prefer to use some mason jars with picture frame shelves from IKEA.

Budget Spice Rack Hack

Spice Storage Box from Bunnings

For those with a limited amount of storage and not a lot of bench space, some Skinnies are buying a toolbox trolley from Bunnings and fitting out the spice storage in the drawers.

Bunnings Trolley Spice Storage

Magnetic Spice Storage

Sometimes the magnetic spice holders from IKEA are perfect for those with minimal space or renters. The Meal Planner board from Daily Orders is perfect for planning your ‘spicy meals’!

Tennielle says ‘IKEA magnetic spices as I’m in a rental with very minimal space so the only option was to use the side of the fridge. Don’t slip but leave onion and garlic powder in a snap lock bag as they dry out.’

Magnetic white sheet from Bunnings and spice containers from IKEA.

Tupperware Spice Storage Containers & Carousel

The Tupperware Spice Container Modular Mates are popular in Skinnymixers. The Tupperware Spice Carousel Holder for Modular Mates Spice Containers as shown in the above video are no longer available in Australia and must be purchased online.

DIY Spice Storage

For those Skinnymixers who are handy with the tools, you might like to use some of these DIY Spice Racks custom built to suit the available space. This is particularly good for small spaces.

Built in shelves to custom fit the kitchen

This spice rack is on castors and slides into the gap next to the fridge.

Thermomix Chocolate Mousse
Mousse au Chocolat is one of the most decadent, rich experiences you can ever have with food. This French Chocolate Mousse Thermomix recipe is the People’s Choice winner to have the ingredients released ahead of this Friday’s launch of A Little Taste of France.

This Chocolate Mousse recipe is exclusive to the Thermomix cookbook A Little Taste of France available from the Skinnymixers Shop.

It is gluten free and has a number of variations, like all the Skinnymixers Cookbooks. Dairy free, Paleo, Low Fodmap, Low Carb, Vegetarian, Nut free and Freezer Friendly.

Thermomix Warm Brie Recipe

This Apricot & Almond Warm Brie Thermomix recipe is featured in my cookbook A Little Taste of France. One of my favourite childhood memories is the first time that my family and I ate fried Camembert in Robe, South Australia.

I still remember how delicious the oozing cheese with sweet cranberry sauce was, and this gorgeous warm Brie recipe takes me back to that moment every time I enjoy it.

I find some people absolutely love the Apricot & Almond topping combination – however you can utilise any fruit / nut / herb combination. We’ve also included a low carb / keto friendly Pistou Topping – so if you are someone that prefers a savoury garlic/herb flavour with your cheese, I highly recommend trying this alternative topping.

Our recipe development team tested this warm, oozey warm Brie Thermomix recipe A LOT! Here are some of their favourite combinations…

  • Dried cranberries, almonds and rosemary
  • Dried cranberries, pistachios and thyme/rosemary
  • Red Pesto
  • Dried Fig, pistachios
  • Pecan, almonds, cranberries and apricots

Chicken Cordon Bleu Thermomix Recipe

I didn’t actually realise this until after I had developed the recipe and both my family, and the development team fell in love with it. This is one of the tastiest recipes I have ever developed, so much so that I believe you will forgive me for my error in origin.

This very tasty Chicken Cordon Bleu Thermomix recipe is exclusive to the cookbook – A Little Taste of France.

Perfect for those Skinnymixers on a gluten free or low carb diet, these Chicken Cordon Bleu’s also have variations to make them low fodmap and dairy free.

Potato Bake Thermomix

Who doesn’t LOVE a potato bake? For those of you who have grown up with your mum using a packet of French onion soup mix, this Potato au Gratin Thermomix recipe captures the nostalgia without the additives and preservatives.

Sian has been begging me for a Potato au Gratin for years and I had promised to include it in A Little Taste of France. I’m so glad I took on the challenge, I love having this healthier additive free potato bake to serve my family. The kids absolutely LOVE the Potato au Gratin!

For the best results I highly recommend using a mandoline slicer to get the potato paper thin.

  • chicken stock concentrate
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder

Skinnymixers Chicken Chasseur French

This is a super easy, tasty and quick Chicken Chasseur Thermomix recipe that can be served up to your family in around 20 minutes for approx. $3 per serve – found exclusively in the cookbook A Little Taste of France.

One of my favourite hobbies is wild mushroom foraging, and I absolutely adore the story behind the recipe for Chicken Chasseur and where its namesake originated: the word Chasseur comes from the French word for hunter—and the pairing of wild game meat with the mushrooms they would collect on their return home from their hunt.

I love the simplicity of the ingredients in this Chicken Chasseur Thermomix recipe and the minimal steps / cooking time. Although you wouldn’t think it when reading the ingredients, the sauce has a beautiful complex flavour.

Personally I like to serve this with my favourite Silky Sweet Potato Mash recipe & steamed greens, but I know some have childhood memories of it being served with pasta or rice.

This recipe from A Little Taste of France will quickly become a weeknight favourite. We have a Slow Cooker variation for the nights that you want to come home to dinner already cooked. We also have Low Carb, Super Skinny, Paleo & Vegetarian variations for this recipe.

Skinnymixers Coq au Vin Blanc

If you are looking for a dinner to impress, the Coq au Vin Blanc from the Thermomix cookbook A Little Taste of France is exactly what you need. Coq au Vin is a very classic, rustic French dish that is usually made with red wine—but I thought that the Blanc or White Wine variation would be well received.

It is such a flavourful, comforting dish, and while I could have created a quick thermo cooker version for you to enjoy, I felt that I needed to do it justice and incorporate the traditional stovetop method.

Take care to choose a quality drinking white wine—I prefer a Chardonnay from the Burgundy region—to get the most authentic taste possible. I’ve found the French Chardonnays taste quite different to Australian Chardonnays, so if you aren’t a Chardonnay fan I strongly encourage you to find a nice French Chardonnay.

You will find that you will have enough wine left after this recipe to also cook the Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise Sauce & Chicken Chasseur from A Little Taste of France.

A Little Taste of France: Coq au Vin Blanc

This rustic classic French dish is perfect for a dinner party or a comforting dinner. It is unbelievable just how much flavour is in this dish. It is important to find a nice white wine that you would drink, as the flavour comes from the wine.

  • lardons or bacon
  • small pearl onions or shallots
  • garlic
  • chicken pieces (bone-in)
  • oyster mushrooms
  • dry white wine (French Chardonnay)
  • chicken stock concentrate
  • dried tarrogon leaves
  • cornflour

This recipe has low carb, super skinny (low calorie) and low fodmap variations. It also has a slow cooker alternative cooking method.

Thermomix Cassoulet

Recently I was chatting with the owner of a local French grocery store and I asked him what French recipe I absolutely had to include…his answer was a Cassoulet.

I am extremely proud of my quick Thermomix recipe version, and I feel confident that it does the traditional recipe justice in terms of flavour.

A traditional cassoulet would often take days to make and uses ingredients that aren’t readily available in Australia. This quick, non-traditional Thermomix recipe is budget friendly, family friendly, allergy friendly and I like to think of it as a big warm hug in the bowl.

I highly recommend adding the toasted breadcrumbs and chopped fresh parsley on top as it really lifts the dish.

This Cassoulet recipe is exclusive to my french cookbook, A Little Taste of France – which is available from the Skinnymixers Shop. When you purchase the cookbook, you also receive a complimentary electronic version so you can start cooking straight away!

A Little Taste of France

This Cassoulet is dairy free, gluten free, nut free, egg free and freezer friendly. We also have variations in the cookbook to make it in the slow cooker and make it Low Carb, Paleo, Super Skinny (low calorie) and Low Fodmap.

Pork Fillet Dinner with Bearnaise Sauce

This Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise sauce Thermomix recipe from the cookbook A Little Taste of France is an absolute winner!

When I served it up to my family, I was receiving text messages for days full of praise for it.

I also love how the Thermomix takes the technique, skill and effort out of creating a classic Béarnaise sauce—you no longer have to stand over a stove whisking, with fear that at any moment your sauce might split.

If you aren’t a lover of Pork, this Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise Sauce Thermomix recipe also works with Beef Eye Fillet and Chicken – you will need to adjust the cooking times and temperatures to cook to your liking.

A Little Taste of France

There maybe times that you don’t want to do the whole all-in-one Pork Fillet dinner, you can still make the Béarnaise sauce and use it on top of your sous vide Salmon, pan-fried chicken, char-grilled steak or on top of poached eggs… it is seriously amazing.

Although we don’t have an Egg Free variation for this Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise Sauce Thermomix recipe in the cookbook sorry, if you are egg free I recommend making the Café de Paris Butter to serve with your Pork Fillet Dinner. We do have a Dairy Free Béarnaise sauce variation in the book and also a Low Carb variation.

If you are Low Fodmap, although we didn’t include it in the book – the recipe has been tested replacing the onion powder with the dark green tops of spring onions and it was delicious – thanks Leah!

A Little Taste of France: Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise sauce

This delicious all-in-one dinner is truly a restaurant quality dinner at home, made in your Thermomix. The steamed pork is so juicy and tender and the mash takes on the flavour of the Bearnaise sauce.

  • floury white potatoes for mashing (Crème Royale)
  • pork tenderloin fillet
  • dried tarragon leaves
  • green beans
  • salted butter
  • dry white wine
  • white wine vinegar
  • eggs
  • onion powder
  • milk of choice
  1. This recipe is exclusive to the A Little Taste of France cookbook. When you purchase the book from the Skinnymixers Shop you will receive the eBook straight away so you can start cooking immediately.

Skinnymixers French Onion Soup

One of the most famous French recipes also happens to be one of the humblest – this French Onion Soup Thermomix recipe is featured in my cookbook A Little Taste of France.

It was seen as a peasant food, with onions and meat broth being the primary ingredients, and at some point in history someone had the genius idea to put baguette and Gruyere cheese on top.

French Onion Soup typically takes several hours, but this healthy Thermomix recipe version will satisfy your cravings quickly!

This French Onion Soup Thermomix recipe is gluten free, nut free, egg free and freezer friendly. In the book in true Skinnymixers style we also have variations to make it dairy free, low carb, super skinny (low calorie, Paleo and vegetarian.

Ratatouille

Ratatouille is a hearty French vegetable stew made even more famous by a cute rat that convinced kids everywhere to tuck into this healthy meal. While I love this served in a bowl, I think it is extra amazing served on top of steak or with fried eggs for breakfast. It is one of those dishes that also gets better over a couple of days in the fridge.

I wanted to include this classic French recipe in my cookbook A Little Taste of France, as Ratatouille is incredibly healthy and makes a great side dish or topping to bring flavour to a plain protein – ie. poached eggs, grilled chicken, steak, pork chops or even a roast.

Duck à l'Orange

While this Duck à l’Orange Thermomix recipe not a strictly traditional recipe or method of cooking, it captures the essence and flavour of the delicious sweet and sour orange dish.

Exclusive to the A Little Taste of France cookbook, this Duck à l’Orange Thermomix recipe is much healthier than the original but still capturing the classic French flavours.

A Little Taste of France
