SKINNYASIA: Okonomiyaki

It seems there have been quite a few Skinnies waiting on the Okonomiyaki recipe in the SkinnyAsia cookbook!

Okonomiyaki is a delicious pan-fried Japanese Savoury Pancake filled with thinly sliced vegetables like cabbage, sweet potato and spring onions. You then glaze the pancake with a rich umami sauce and drizzle with Creamy Japanese Mayo and add your toppings of choice.

  • Worcestershire sauce
  • oyster sauce or vegetarian oyster sauce
  • light soy sauce, tamari or coconut aminos
  • sugar of choice
  • wombok or green cabbage
  • sweet potato
  • plain flour (gluten-free if required)
  • eggs
  • stock concentrate
  • spring onion
  • oil

Toppings of choice

  • Creamy Japanese Mayo or Wasabi Aioli
  • spring onions

  • pickled ginger
  • bonito flakes
